Showing & Telling - March 6th & 13th 5-7PM

$75.00
Showing and Telling
“Don’t tell me the moon is shining. Show me the glint of light on broken glass.” ~ Anton Chekhov
In this two-part workshop, we’ll dismantle the old writing adage “Show Don’t Tell” and learn to evaluate when to do which. Day 1 will consist of showing and telling writing exercises and discussion. We’ll apply the principles we’ve learned to create an artifact (piece of writing), meet with Mike or Irene one-on-one during the week for evaluation, and present our work to our peers on Day 2, followed by further discussion.
